what tyres to fit these alloys

Featured Replies

I think whatever tyre u pick, u have to get the feel of it

What it can and cant do

Even a premium tyre ive never jumped in and thought the force is watching over me

Be it a mickey mouse tyre where its limit is its start

Or a top range beastie made of some form of super sticky stickyness

1 mans sticky corner could be ur upside down car

End of the day u can but only buy within you price range :(

Set a budget and nose whats about :)

Then sneak over said budget by about £50 and u should be good :D lol

Your just a name whore Lloyd :D

Me :D

I was stating a fact about cheap tyre cause a lot of people over look it. People go on and on about stretch tyres but if it's not a stupid mega stretch they are safe enough. I have mates who drift in the BDC and they run stretch tyre with no mishaps what so ever.

Cheap tyres show there true potential in wet condition, I'm guessing you've never paid for decent tyres then SNH? But then again I've seen the BTCC car and F1 teams running Wangli's and Sumo Ditchfinders lol ;-)

I also have mates in the bdc and time attack and like you say they run stretch no issues.

I once brought a car that had toyos fitted and tbh they were no different to some of the budget things I've run.

I drive for a living and can't see what the fuss is about, they all do the same jib :)

Ha ha I get what your saying but like others have said each to there own. But me personally I buy the best I can as it's what keeps you on the road with a input from the driver.

i ran hankook ventus evos on the spiders and can say the rainsports even after a day of running in the dry feel firmly planted alot better than the ventus evos

I really liked my rainsports :)

And in the wet they were awesome

I run Nankang ns2 budgets which are stretched and no complaints, even in the wet but then I drive to the speed limits and the road conditions and I've not span off the road to my death yet so I would suggest the people who slate them either just jump on the internet band wagon with no actual experience of budget tires because they only use premium brands or they have experienced budget tires but when driving on them they aren't observing the speed limits or conditions and are pushing on a bit. yes they may not be as good as the premium brand option but there not as bad as people make out imo

i am running stage 2 so there is a fair bit of go there and i wouldnt consider budgets as personally think i would end up wrapped round a tree but am sure budgets do the job if u are not running alot more power than standard

Ran my mk1 vrs stage 2

My old bm was 180-190bhp

My drift 340 turbo was 170bhp

My current vrs 200bhp

It's all about the driver ;)

my current vrs 240 bhp and is not a risk i consider worth taking my life is more important than saving 30-40 quid a tyre

You buy the best tyre you can afford which in my case is budgets :)
