how much is bulldog...8meg ;-)

I use BT, just got a free upgrade from 1M to 2M. not had any REAL problems.

Have to agree with BigW. Never had any bother with Plusnet and seems cheap for the speed.

Also can I add that you should remember it is a taxible benifit and take that into account!

bulldog is

I'm waiting for Wanadoo for upgrade me, I'm still on 512.

bulldog sounds great but is not avalible here for some reason

although im on adsl at the moment

plusnet looks good if its not capped but nobody seems to advertise their download limits very much

wonder why

apparently work will just give me the cash every month if i give them a copy of the bill

2mg uncapped sounds about what im after

is it easy enough to go from teso adsl to sombody else

took a while for bt to do the bit on the line i take it i dont have to go through that again

Another vote for PlusNet been with them 3 years now top service

Yep, mate works for IBM, he was told this by the company as they have been checked before.

Apparently is to do with the personal use of it, as a perk.

However you could equally be right, as per usual with government agencies the left doesn't know what the right is doing!

I'm another (reasonably) satisfied Plusnet customer. Mine has just been upgraded to 2Mb. Their main advantage is that they have a local rate phone line for their helpdesk - not national or premium rates. Its a fat lot of good others saying contact us by internet when the reason you want to contact them is that their internet connection is down!!!!

Another happy Plusnet user here and been with them for 3 years now. Prices for 2Mb start from 14.99, and I'm currently on their uncapped 21.99 2Mb Premier package. :D

Btw, my userid is hantsscoobies if you want to fill me in as a referral when you apply ... it will help me lower my monthly bill ;)

Another vote for PlusNet - my third ISP in as many years and Tech Support is excellent, reliability is great and I've just had a free upgrade to 2Mb, uncapped all for

I'm with NTL. It's ok but i'm capped to 1 Gb/day on a 2 Gbit connection for

Wow! Lots of PlusNet customers on here...must be a thing with people who seek out quality and value for money - end up driving Skodas and using PlusNet!!

I've used them for the last 18 months and well pleased. They offer things like a static IP address and SMTP email for free where other providers charge or it. You get the choice of capped or uncapped usage, depending on how much you pay them - uncapped usage is 'within reason' but no ISPs will tell you a strict figure. Its really just if your downloading DVD quality movies 24/7 they begin to get upset.

The only thing about moving from Tesco to PlusNet is it could take BT a couple of weeks in provisioning the chageover on the line.

Good luck,

Ross M

PS - They also run a good customer incentive scheme where you get something like 50p per month off your bill for everyone you recommend who signs up for them.

If you ask Tesco to keep your account open but just make it a free dial-up only account you will still be able to receive email on that address until everyone knows the new one.

I've still got my @tesco.net address when I used them several years ago. You just need to setup Outlook to receive email from the tesco POP3 server, but it will only be able to send out through your new ISPs server.

Hope that helps.

Cheers

Ross
