Hello everyone, I have had my New Mk3 VRS TDI Estate for just over a week now and from about 1500 revs up to about 2000 there is some sort of engine rattle. I can't tell if it's coming from the engine or underneath the car maybe the exhaust, does anyone else have this or have any experience of this? 

Sorry for the new thread but I have done a search and the only thing I can find is something similar but for the TFSI engine nothing for the TDI.

Just wondered if its some thing that will go once worn in as its only got 250 miles on the clock or should I get it booked into the dealership, Cheers Lee

Are you referring to the sound generator? or from the actual engine?

No not the sound generator, defo the engine or exhaust, while we're on the subject i cant even tell the difference with the sound generator when i switch to sport mode just sound the same as normal mode.

Any rattle, book it in IMO.

I strongly suspect its the sound generator.
