Couple of Questions

Featured Replies

Just been for a look round Benfield Skoda. The new Skoda dealers in Harrogate. In the showroom Black Furbie vRS, KU04XLM, Briskoda Sticker in rear Window. The middle seat belt is 3 point, my 04 vRS has a lap belt, also the vRS badge on the boot is a small one. The rear lights are not the facelift ones. I thought only Facelift vRS's had 3 proper seat belts in the rear or is it an optional extra?

iirc it was optional along with the centre headrest.

I don't think it was an option...at some point it became mandatory that all new cars be fitted with a proper (3 point belt) rather than just a lap belt but the centre headrest is still an optrion. So all new cars from that point have 3 point belts

Rear centre headrest isnt on the options list. I thought if you had the three point belt you had to have head restraint.

It is now std fitment but my vRS also had a lap belt.

Facelift came out on '54 plates iirc unless this was say registered week or couple before and perhaps they fitted old clusters and it is actually a facelift one???

There was no center headrest in this car :)

I've got a late June build 04 Furby vRS which came as standard with the third 3-point belt but no headrest. I seem to recall the dealer saying it was added mid cycle but would become standard all all Fabias as part of the facelift.

I've got a 2month old Furby vRS. 3 point centre seat belt, but no headrest.

Rear centre headrest *was* on the options list when I ordered, in late June.

Is it standard or not available now, Lummox?

I know that no one likes a smart ar5e, Eh Ross :P

Third rear headrest was

I was going by the options listed on the Skoda UK website.

Don't they have some get out disclaimer about contantly updateing and specification may change and all that lets cover our ar5es stuff.

I seem to remember reading somewhere about the 3 point belts and headrests as you say mate. Wonder if that is something to do with it?

I'm extremely tired so I may not be getting all this straight, but are you guys talking about the rear and the two passenger seat belts including a seat belt for a 5th centre passenger? What do you mean 3 point belts? Like normal belts?

Yeah the centre passenger having a three point belt (meaning it has three anchor points) rather than just a lap belt.

Hey sweet, that's better than a lap belt. It's not currently an option is it?

By the looks of the UK website its now std fit, has been on the Fabias I have PDi'd recently anyhow.

Not really possible to retro fit unless you fancy buying a new rear seat.
