Picking up on Monday

Featured Replies

Well having exhaustively tried almost every supermini on the market I finally steered the Mrs to a Yeto and she liked it.  Probably helped that it was in Elegance spec with a decent toy count.

As a family we have gone from 0 Skodas in November to having two in March.

Going to get it after work on Monday.

It is a 1.2 TSI in silver of some hue.  Seems to be a totally standard car straight from Skoda management fleet.  It does have hooks and a net in the boot which seems like a great idea. :)

You will like it, the engine is a gem. Had 3 mates in mine for the first time yesterday, so over 300kg of weight. When I got the car and told them it was a 1.2 and how good it was they didn't believe me but they were amazed how well the car performed. A roads. dual carriageway and hills all without a problem and plenty of acceleration when needed even at 70mph going uphill it still pulled away with ease.

Glad you're joining the Yeti fraternity. Mine's a 1.2, good performance, comfortable and 39 mpg overall now it's got 9000 miles on it.

You've got some way to go if you want to catch our family up. We've got 5 Skodas - last year they were all Fabias as in the small 'avatar' photo on the left.

Why would anyone NOT buy a Skoda?

Well my Dad is on his 4th or 5th Golf, Mum is on her 3rd Polo, My brother has a new Sirocco which followed a lot of Golfs.

I had a few Saabs as did my Uncle although the rest of his family had VWs too.

I have no idea why my Dad would have a 1.6 TDI Golf which he uses to tow his small caravan. when a Yeti, better suited to his purposes by a long way, would be either less or far better specced for similar money.  Some folk are crazy.  Maybe when he sees our Yeti he will consider one next time. :)

Last year I pursueded some friends to check out a new Yeti to compare with the Golf they were thinking of buying. They LOVE their Muscovado 1.2 dsg especially the 'commanding' seating position.

Isn't Yeti a bargain compared to equivalent Golf?
