I have just given it 6 months TAX and a fresh MOT (no advisories)

Road tax is £125 for the year

I get around 43mpg around town and 60+ mpg on the motorway - so very cheap to run

As far I am aware the cam-belt/water pump has not been done yet.

The car has two previous owners.

The 1st owner, a lady who had it up to 11k miles

The 2nd owner, my sister, who owned it up to 37k

And then me who has had it for a trouble free 10k+ miles

Most of you know about these cars, so here is a quick specification.

Blue - the special editions came only in this colour (as far as I am aware)

Full leather - with number 351 (only a thousand made, so a future classic) Leather in great condition

Air con - nice and cold

Cruise control

Electric/Heated wing mirror glass

Electric front windows, manual rear

Factory CD player with 6 Disc changer

The only modifications that have been made:

Bump strips removed

Cupra R splitter

Silvervision bulbs for front indicators
VRS chrome foot rest plate - compliments the chrome pedals

Carbon vinyl wrapped Spoiler and front grill

Everyone knows the common problem with these cars are leaky rear door carriers, the standard front inner bushes and the peeling lacquer on the spoiler.

Well a year ago I had the rear door carriers re-sealed by Skoda, was a £300 job (receipt included)

6 months later when one of the doors started to show a slight dampness again on one side, so I went back and they replaced practically the whole inner door, both sides, seals and carriers. Despite the amount of rain we have had in the past few months, the car is dry as a bone :)

The front bushes are known to be rubbish, so they were replaced with uprated Cupra ones

The rear spoiler did start to peel, like many others. So I removed all the peeling parts and wrapped the spoiler with Carbon vinyl car wrap, I had some left so I decide to do the front grill also.

Exterior condition is good considering it's a 7 year old car. There is a few stone chips and light scuff marks that will buff out. To be honest (and it's probably me just being picky) but the car over due a good polishing, which I have been meaning to do if it ever stops raining for 5 mins.

The alloys are in great condition, think one has slight kerbing but nothing major at all.

The rear tyres are couple of months old, the front ones will need replacing at some point this year

Interior condition again is very good considering the age, it gets hoovered and dusted every week, everything works. Recently I replaced the wing mirror control button and the gear knob insert.

The steering wheel badge has started peeling, again another common thing

Like I mentioned before the leather is in good condition, since my ownership I have always had seat covers on it

Mechanically the car runs like a dream, starts every time in any weather conditions, it has never let me down during ownership, nor my sister during the time she had it. This engine is fantastic as you know, solid and reliable.

I am sure I have missed something, just PM me with any questions. As you can tell I have tried to be honest as possible with my car

Oh and for those who have issues with low mileage cars, the majority of the mileage on this car were motorway miles as my sister works for Mercedes and travels a lot between dealerships (she upgraded to an Octavia Vrs)

I am looking for £5500 which I think is a good price, considering what some people advertise these for.

I am in no hurry to sell, so won't be letting it go for silly money. If I could afford to run two cars I would keep it

but I think it may as well go to someone who would appreciate it and use it.

Please PM with interest, you are more than welcome to view the car, I am home most evenings and weekends.

No tyre kickers please, and If you would like to test drive, please have valid fully comp insurance otherwise I am more than happy to take you out in it

Thanks

Lee
