Sat in the inevitable stop start Que in heavy traffic in my 2011 fab vRS! I was very bored!

Passing the time I have noticed that in D revs are about 850 rpm on Rickover but if I select S or go to manual mode they rise to just above 1000! Is this normal?!? Just an Observation????

Yes its quite normal mine does this also.

    Maybe its to help you take off abit quicker!

    The rev-up when you change into S is a bit of a giveaway to clued-up "opposition" - do it before you pull up... :rock:

    Doesnt matter what the opposition think, if your quick enough ;).

    No need to bother with  S for those sort of shenanigans...D can be lary enough if done right :giggle:

    Does the same if you go into Manual mode as well..
