Hello,my name is Derek,i have only joined this forum today,i am a little over 50,and i mean only a little,i have been driving a skoda octavia for the past 7 years,its a 1.9 tdi 105bhp,it has close to 350,000km on the clock so far and with a little care and a full service every 15,000km i hope to go over the 500,000km,i service it myself and the small stuff i do myself[brakes lights,anything small]but the bigger stuff i leave it to my mechanic  which he is very good at his job and he knows his stuff,its the first time i ever bought a Skoda but i would buy more for i think they are a great car,hopefully i can learn from this site and find out more about the skoda,..looking forward to reading the posts and if i can help in any way..
