Modifying the cruise control / Maxidot?

Featured Replies

Hi!

After driving my wife's VW Caddy (diesel, DSG6) I am getting used to the odometer in the lower left of the Maxidot being replaced with the cruise control info showing the speed being stored for the resume function. I also really like the possibility to change the speed up/down in increments of 1 km/h.

Anyone that knows if any of this is possible to achieve in my 2014 Superb, 1.8TSI and DSG7?

probably not

look in the adaption channel in the instrument cluster to see if cruise display is active. Enable it and see

I think it is linked to the ECU so may not work

Hi!

Yes, could very well be ... I found some info that this feature only is available on diesels ... cr.p ... Really like it but without that possibility the speed dislplay is not as interesting either ...

Thanks anyway!!

It will work on most petrol engined cars, but on 99% of diesels it will not.

I did it myself for my 1.4 TSI so it is not something special to Diesels

Hi, this sounds great!

Did you get both the Maxidot display AND the incremental 1 km/h +/- change for the button operation?

I've also tried it on my Superb 1.8 TSI, but sadly it doesn't work, like it doesn't on all other Superbs 1.8 TSI.

That was really bad news ... Will probably have to learn how to live without it then ... Thanks for sharing!

Since you own a facelift 1.8 TSI, I would give it a try. Even if there is a very small chance that it works, it might still work.

I have coded this on my face lift 2.0TDI 4x4 DSG and it works!

Hi, did you find the coding recipe somewhere or is it quite easy to do?
