Standard Bulbs vs Philips Bulbs (NSF 56K)

Featured Replies

Right well leading on from a thread earlier I though i would post my pics of the difference Philips Silver Vision Bulbs and Philips Blue Vision Ultra Makes:

Original On Left New on Right... Silver Vision Indicator upgrade.. stops the "Fried Egg" Effect:

Also at the same time i upgraded my headlights to Blue Vision Ultra... although the difference cannot be seen in the photos below it is very noticable at night and give a much whiter light.

Hope this helps for anyone wishing to change their lights (although im lead to believe it is tricky on fabias with larger engines due to space??)

Ordered from this website (arrived next day): Power Bulbs UK

It's trickier, but quite doable. Pity anyone with Xenons ;) Btw, did you uprate the main beam bulbs too, or leave them as standard? :D

Chris

Lovely!

I've done the Silvervision front & rear, & did have the Bluevision sidelights. Didn't like the look of the blue filter when the lights were off, so went down the LED route.

The LEDs I have at the moment are the ones in my avatar.

I'm also working on changing the D2S Xenon bulbs to a more bluey white light, as on the new BMWs, Mercs, etc.

Pity anyone with Xenons ;)

;)

leds are pants you might find they blow really soon!

Main beam is standard, dont use it enough to need to change it

Had them in nearly 5 months with no problems.

I'll let you know if they do! :P

Not bad Jon mine lasted less than a couple of weeks!!!

Which ones were they?

I recommend the ones from UltraLeds

Xenons were a total dog to get the bulbs changed. Indicators are easy enough (front/back). A little fiddly at the battery side, but nothing too bad.

When I knocked my brake light out when replacing the bulb holder though, I decided to drop the car in at the dealer to get them to fit the high-beam and side-light upgrades at the same time. I just couldnt be bothered. It is pretty tight, but several people here have changed bulbs on the Xenons.

Well heres the comparason on the headlight bulbs.. as you can see a much whiter/blue light off new ones:

Thats a really good picture there  dont forget to give a review in the reviews section ;)

I went the same route, vision plus's (and rallye main beams) and the difference is amazing... i had to go for the rallyes as the normal mains looked poor in comparison.

I'll make a post in there..... Edit: can't find reviews section!

I haven't bothered changing the main beams as living in town i never use them... but given time i might, as you said would have to go for rallys as they will have to beat the new headlights!

Have you got new side light bulbs as well? I changed all the headlight bulbs on my 1.2 Fabia but I ordered my vRS with Xenons. I think the Xenons are let down slightly by the yellow of the side lights, must get round to changing them.

yup pair of philips blue vision ultra sidelights came free with the order... although im very tempted by the idea of the LEDs

nice one buddy :D gonna get me some new bulbs

Which ones did you get??

Had rallye bulbs in my main beams for almost two and a half years I think - had them in furby mk1 - recovered them and put in them in MkII as well. ;) Its amazing how you get complacent about a decent main beam light, until you drive something with comparatively poor lights. :)

Which ones did you get??

These ones

Excellent, cheers m8... guess what im ordering for our cars!
