New Octavia

Featured Replies

Hi, sorry if this is a dim question. I'm thinking of purchasing a10 plate skoda Octavia 1.6 TDI CR Elegance. It has 75,000 miles on the clock and the price is £10,500. The car looks mint, I'm just a bit concerned about the high mileage. How many miles do these type of engines run for if they are looked after? Does this sound like a good price? I'm thinking I could knock them down a fair bit on that. Any help would be appreciated as this would be my first Skoda, I currently have a Meriva. Cheers all :)

Price a bit high I would say, You don't say if the car is hatch or estate. In the Parkers online guide, a 10 plate Octavia hatch 1.6tdi elegance with 40,000 miles on the clock is listed at £9955. That car with 75,000 on the clock you should be able to get at around £9500, unless it has a lot of expensive extras which the dealer is hoping to get something out of.

Deffo high, I bought an '11 1.4TSI Elegance in mint condition with 20k on a couple of weeks ago for £10900. And I know I could have driven them down a little if I hadn't been in a hurry to buy.

Cheers all, it's an estate. I'll take a look at that link thanks.

High mileage like that will mean motorway miles which is easier on the engine
