help with epc light fabio 1.4 16 value

Featured Replies

well it all started when the battery went flat i went and bought a replacement now the epc light has come on and stays on the car.

the car runs fine but after around 20 mins the circle with the ! light comes on is this the exhaust emission warning light

While recently working on a 1.4 16V the ECU kept throwing up the EML light saying there was a coding issue, attempted recoding via VCDS didnt fix the issue.

In the end i completely disconnected the battery, then touched both the leads together (shorting out the red and the black) this discharged the ECU and other circuits. Then reconnected them to the battery, black first then red.

fixed that issue.

I know on a VW beetle i was also recently working on the ABS/ESP light would come on if there was an engine fault code.

Is the battery correctly charged and is it suitable for the car, that usually throws a wobbler in things when its running low
