Abit of a silly question really but my friend has just bought an astra turbo and it doesnt have a dv and it sounds epic! Could i run the octy in the same way or would i upset it?

Turbo surge does sound good, but will hinder performance compared to the recirc valve

And will shorten turbo life.

simple answer 'no'

 

the car needs a recirv value else you will risk shortering the life of your turbo as nothing will be controlling the turbo spooling properly
