Happy Yeti owner

Featured Replies

High everybody - collected the Yeti Friday.  Love it!!!!

We traded in our vrs candy white Octavia estate, which was an awesome car - particularly for towing and transporting our Bearded Collies to dog agility shows in the west country.

The Yeti feels like a taller version of the Octavia - similar interior styling, dash ergonomics and layout.  The dealer was a great help and managed to change the dash trim to the piano black L&K trim - this is a big improvement, but I decided to wrap the original trim, with CB81 carbon vinyl from GRAFITYP UK LTD.  This was a bit fiddly, but I am very pleased with the final result and can be changed quite easily and put back to standard spec - see what you think from the attached photos.

I really enjoy using this site, very useful and informative - waiting on delivery of the protective covers to go in back and then to sort out cage for the dogs.

Regards - Malc

Hi Malcolm,

Love the car and the trim.

Picked ours up on Friday also, just outside applying some sealent to the paintwork whilst the weather so nice.

We came from a diesel VRS also and IMO the yeti is a better drive. The vRS was a great car but with the state of the roads around here I felt every bump, probably mostly due to the 18" wheels.

When I first told everybody that we were having a Yeti they mostly said pensioners car, but everyone who's seen it so far saying how sporty and smart it looks.

I have owned a few cars during my driving years but get a feeling this will be the best so far..

Ps. Wish I had opted for the pedals like yours. Can feel another purchase coming on...lol

Nice carbon effect trim - suits the interior.

Thanks - yes I agree with your comments - the pedals are a nice finish and I do not regret changing to a Yeti.

JOB VERY WELL DONE SIR, ENJOY YOUR YETI

I extend a warm welcome from the downunder crew. I sure bet that the covering of the original trim was a fiddly job, but you did it well.

Top job on the carbon trim.

Also nice to see the alcantara in black - how is it ?

Banjobach - Yes wrapping the original trim was a little fiddly in places, particularly in the corners - care and patience was the order of the day and the use of my wife's hair dryer.

Silly Old Hector - the black alcantra looks the business, a real beaut ! - very supportive and firm. Thanks for your positive comments on the carbon trim.

Just been trying out the factory fitted tow hook - very clever design.

As far as I can tell, gearbox aside, you have gone for exactly the same spec as me - right down to the pedals & alcantara!

I am just waiting for my brushed alu look trims to arrive before binning the floodwater brown trims.

We have both made a good choice - do not bin the the trims, it is quite easy to wrap - I have some brushed alu vinyl.

I fitted the factory tow bar Sunday, Very nice piece of kit.
