Audi A5 3.0 Modded Detail

Featured Replies

Well Damo ,(Evil Miyagi) Briskoda who lives in Rochdale brought his A5 round to be detailed, he has had a Fabia vRS but updated to this, . I saw him at the Lancashire Stretton Fox meet last week and suggested he brought it round,.It  now has 325 bhp and 500 lb/ft of torque and having driven it vouch for the fact it shifts. The turning circle is better than the R36 . Every extra inside. A Miltec four tailpipe exhaust and a dpf delete completes the mods. The car was not very dirty but the wheels had never been cleaned properly ,so iron x to work. then ph neutral snow foamed ,rinsed , then Gold class shampooed  . Rinsed then mammoth towel dried . the paint work was swirl free but tar spots everywhere.Used GT85 with kitchen roll to remove. I used the cone pad on my drill with autosol to polish the milltek exhausts. Then I applied Mer finish wax and buffed, then leaving to cure used Sonax extreme BSD to create a waterproof layer. 20140309_145208.jpg

Great job Alan

I hope Damo learnt how to keep it clean as well

Sonax does help

Is he aware that a DPF delete means an MOT failure?

It has just passed one !

Well...blow me down!

Thanks Alan, great couple of hours and I learned a lot :) just got to buy the stuff now ;)

Things to do:

Refurb alloys, few scrapes and dings but not to bad in general...

Get the couple of stone chips sorted - there are only two major ones I want to really get done

Service it....

And finally, get the power figures checked, they may be quoted on the high side but I can't confirm either way yet :). But it does pull like a strong thing pulling.

Alan's done a good job there

It certainly looks like a beast

IF YOU had a dpf your exhausts would not be black! Also forgot to mention another reason that you found it hard to see out of the back , your electic dipping mirror button was pressed so mirror was darkened. I set it for normal

Agreed but the it wouldn't sound so good ;)

When you say 'set it to normal' do you mean turned off the auto dimming mirror?

As i said on your .:R36Owners thread - i expected more pics of the well polished Milltek tailpipes in the write-up!  :wall:

Sorry Ste , as I was cleaning Damo was taking pics and as we both had a tight schedule missed the pipes. Damo took some but not really clear , House extension starts today so had to clear kitchen and we all went out for a meal early evening as Sophie made a rare appearence from Nottingham

I couldn't cope with detailing on that driveway - nowhere near enough loose gravel and dirt. ;)

There will be later in the week when the builders move in :giggle:
