fob only opens drivers door

Featured Replies

hi ive got a weird problem with my skoda Octavia fob will only open the drivers door even when you press it twice you have to open drivers side by fob then the rest by the button on the car . the fob will lock them just not open helllllllppppppppp

Have you got maxidot ?  If you have, you can enable driver's door opening only or all doors through that.

What about the spare?

my spare key does this but my other key opens all the doors.

If you have maxidot you can change it, otherwise you'll need someone with vcds

Hi, some of the facelift models come with what Skoda term as anti-carjack. This is where the fobs only open the driver's door and you need a two press action to open them all. I am usually on my own so I left it but you can have it removed by the dealer.

I suspect it may be an issue with either this setting OR the fobs have been known to play silly arses when the batteries are low, try changing them and see what happens.
