You're talking Bolero to Columbus; thats considerably more involved than a screen swap.

The brains for the infotainment are installed in the Glovebox; its the same profile as a single DIN headunit with the CD slot and SD readers.

You'd need to replace this also; would come in at approx £700 (€800) to purchase, then you've got to retrofit, code and get around the component protection (put in place to deter thefts and make retrofits difficult) not sure if anyone has managed this yet.

Id doubt very much just replacing the Bolero 5.8" screen with the Columbus's 8" screen would work.

Is the Amundsen infotaiment in the glovebox the same as the Columbus? So the hardrive is in the unit in the pics above?

Yes it is, looks identical but the hardware is slightly different inside. The Amundsen has no built in storage for maps so is reliant on one of the SD slots, the columbus has an SSD drive so isnt.

Have the Amundsen nav, and wish to try the Columbus. Understand that you have to link the unit to the chassisnumber.
