Featured Replies

Had the car 10 days now, just done 490 miles, stuck 40.8 litres of diesel in...54.5 mpg!!  Quite happy

Same car as mine, I ain't getting anywhere near that mpg yet. Too much urban driving keeping long term mpg around 40 right now.

The sun came out yesterday and it did show 60mpg+ for a while. I do a good mixture of town and fast dual carriageway driving. Looking forward to it improving with age !

Is that with the manual or DSG gearbox?

Always like Bedfordshire Police Authority's view point, late drinking no problem we don't go into the pubs, speeding no problem, we don't have many radar guns.

We don't have many cops either. . They rely on the fixed site camera's. .to go to local shops I could loose my license in 5 mins!

Last time I took mine for a spin on the dual carriageway I was getting around 55mpg but hey I'm pleased with an average of 40 in the colder months as in my last motor I was getting 25!

They don't give the impression of a reliable force...  always in the local news for the wrong reasons. You can generally find them on the A5,A6 and M1..but when you need their assistance...nowhere to be seen !

That's a big difference..you've got to be please with that. Around town I think i get around 40mpg as well...hoping that will improve with age.

Had mine since November last year so cold months only so far. Hoping with age, warmer weather and some longer journeys will see that average rise.

Mind you the wife puts most of the diesel in and how she used to moan about the monthly fuel cost of our last car, around £150 a month. Now telling me she fills up twice a month for about £45 a time. Yes ok she doesn't like the needle dropping much below half way, crazy!!!

I need to fill up again soon. Will be interesting to see how mine does.

After 500 miles averaging over 55mpg on a mixture of stop start A roads and rush hour motorway driving. Achieved 67mpg on a decent motorway drive on Sunday and overall the mpg appears to be getting better with every drive. Extremely happy after owning the 1.6MPI Oct which drank Petrol like a sports car. It is also giving similar mpg to the VW Golf slowmotion I used to have, so much for paying extra for an Eco car.
