Sun Glare

Featured Replies

If I drive N in the morning and then return in the afternoon I find the sun glare is not dealt with by the visor so I've fashioned a stiff bit of cardboard 6-8" wide x ~ 12" long and slip it between the door frame and rubber seal..... it works a treat.

I've been tempted to get a piece of window film about 4" deep to fit across the top of the side window on mine.

When I bought my Yeti I refused, on principle to be 'sold' heat reflective film but am now thinking of having it done, cheaper too.

Does it reduce glare sufficiently?

Don't know, to be honest.

I purchased from Amazon last year,

E-PRANCE 2 IN 1 car transparent anti-glare glass car sun visor for day and night driving.

Has worked a treat for me.

I did try elastic clip on types but to me where useless

On europe spec Yetis, they get a double sun visor  - one normal and, an extra one that provides side protection, Sure you could order one and retro fit.

^ Would it be for LHD, though?

Good point - back to the drawing board on that one!

Unless of course the hinged bracket could be reversed, and you don't mind the vanity mirror (if fitted) being on the outside of the inside visor  :giggle: .

Either way, for this wide brown land, they're inadequate for forward (unless you're V tall) AND side protection.

E-Prance looks a bit messy and would need 2 (SWMBO) when driving into the setting sun.

If that's its worst problem, not much to complain about IMO.

cool
