Cheapest coilovers for a fabia2?

TA-TECHNIX - don't buy cheap coilovers unless you want to replace them in one year's time.

dont bother with cheapos, i had cheap fk ak coilovers on my golf, bloody terrible, the ride is awful, go for something decent!

But ****e, buy twice

And have a sore spine. Haha

I have joms on mine the rides okay ish does me the cars not that fast and it's no track car I only wanted the low look which is what I have.I have had previous cars were I have spent upto £900 on coilovers a tbh there much better but the all still seize, burst ,corroded ect but it's how you look after them to

Coilovers can seize? I didnt know that.

Maybe thats why my mates '96 civic pretty much disables me when i go in it.

Maybe thats just cheap coilovers though. Hmm.

The lock rings can sieze not the whole unit.

And its a 96 civic the rides never going to be nice.

Ooh right. I see.

Nah. When you say not nice. I was wondering if it had any at all.

Reckons it handles well for it, but it doesnt. At all.

How low is it too?

if it's silly low it will be terrible

Its scrubbing on 17 inch wheels mate. The front bumper and exhausts are always catching too haha.

Sounds like a lovely car :/

Why oh why would you want to fit any part to your car that is the cheapest you could possibly find?

I hate it.

And to the OP. Youll seriously regret cheap coilovers if its half as bad as his haha.

Joms were not the cheapest just one of the cheaper options. The adjustable droplinks I bought were a quarter of the price of the coilovers. As I say it's more show than go so why would you want to spend fortunes on them. I do under stand for other cars my lupo gti got the best of the best on everything.

I'm also on the look out for some coilovers. I've got some H&R 40mm springs on my vrs at the moment but I'm after more lows. The ones I've found so far are either £200, £500 or £800, and in the description they say they will fit the polo 6r and ibiza 6j. So does that mean the ibiza and polo ones will fit? Even though the chassis are different? It's confusing stuff! Any help would be appreciated (sorry for the thread take over) haha

Unless you find a real bargain (clearance stock etc), generally you should need to pay from about £100 a corner upwards for something half decent - depending on the sellers markup.  £500 a set sounds "cost effective".  £800 a set implies better quality.

£200 a set is going to buy you junk.

I'm with the others - are you going to be fitting Chinese ditchfinder tyres next?  'Cos they're cheapest?
