Hi Everyone,

Im New To The Skoda Scene, Only Got Into It Because My Brother, Kieranlt, Has A Fabia VRS. So My Dad Decided To Buy Me A Skoda.

Now By Judging By Everyone On This Forum, It Seems Nearly Everyone Owns A VRS Of Some Sort? Well Im Sorry But I Own A Skoda That Would Show You All Up... A Skoda Fabia Classic 1.4!

Dont Be Jealous Everyone! :p.

I Hope I Find This Site As Useful And Helpful As Some Of The Other Forums!

(P.S. Just A Quick Question If Some One Could Help, A Friend Of Mine From Work Is Scrapping A Skoda Felicia 1.3 MPI, Will His Alternator Fit My Y Reg Fabia? Hope Someone Can Help! Thank You!)

Hello Toby - from next door (East Sussex)  :hi:

Hi Toby,

Welcome to Briskoda :)

Im in Medway so just a tad up the M2 from you so its good to know of another member in kent.

Regarding the Alternator, I dont believe the 1.3 MPI would able to be used. But it maybe worth asking someone in the Felicia forum.

But IIRC the Felicia doesnt have an electric Power Steering pump, and therefore the current draw of the Fabia is more than the Felicia, i.e. the Alternator may not be up to it. But I may be corrected on that.

Hi Toby, I'm in Broadstairs, Thanet so not far from you at all.

Always nice to hear from other people in Kent!

Welcome, from a fellow newbie :)

ah  might see you kicking about then

Thanks For All The Comments Guys, Well Appreciated!

Thank you taylor93 regarding the answer to my question! Again much appreciated!

I took my alternator to a local motor electrician this morning, just received a phone call from him, and basically the wire inside the alternator had all broken inside! Yeah, he told me this has never happened to an alternator that he has worked with the whole time he has been there! it would have cost me another £70 plus VAT for the part, £60 to put it together! :( bad times!

lfc958, yes sounds great! Always up for a little car meet and meeting new people!

Just a quick question, is anyone on this forum attending BHP show in Lydden, Kent this year? I think this would be a great opportunity for everyone to meet up, drive down together, a day out and a laugh! :D

Hi and welcome I'm another Kent person. This forum is great for advice and entertainment ;)
