130 injector gains pd100

Featured Replies

Still on the hunt for a Vrs Se but in the mean time I plan to get some extra horses out of my pd130 Fabia elegance.

Plans are pd130/150 injectors, pd130/150 turbo and then a remap. Will put a fmic if needs be and then I guess in turn a new clutch And flywheel.

Currently just have the 130 injectors but don't know if I can just fit them and drive or if they need to be mapped in or if it's worth keeping them safe until I get a different turbo.

Personally I would get the car mapped for now, the only limiting factor would be the current KKK turbo fitted and the OE clutch (I had a VR6 clutch fitted (rated to ~300lb/ft), and flywheel is SM as standard)

The pd100 flywheel isn't a dual mass flywheel?

What do I do with the injectors then if I just get it remapped now?

That will probly mean I have to get it remapped twice at twice the price haha

PD100's have a SMF fitted as standard, no DMF in sight :)

I believe the PD130/150 injectors have a different flow rate to the PD100's (could be wrong)

I'm not sure that's correct but great if it is! Haha

Yeah I know 130 injectors have a higher flow rate or whatever hence more power but don't know of it's quite plug and play or not.

Just checked and it would appear they do have a dual mass flywheel.

Just checked and it would appear they do have a dual mass flywheel.

When the clutch on my previous car (Fabia PD100 (ATD)) went, I was surprised to see a SMF already been fitted to the car

ATD engine has a single mass flywheel.

i think the later engine code could possibly be dualmass..

the single mass flywheel in the ATD is the same as a G60 flywheel.

fit the 130 injectors whenever.. get the turbo fit then clutch + get a remap last.

I had pd130 injectors in my pd100 ATD with standard turbo for ages without a map + could feel the difference from just the injectors :)

Why spend all that coin on the car when your looking for an SE. Why dont you put all that money towards the SE. Im pretty sure your could buy a minter with SE money + ££££ you'll spend on you current mod list.

Assume you mean pd100 Fabia elegance (currently?) :D

Injectors £200

Turbo £300

Fitting - circa 4 to 5 hours

Then remap = 170 to 175 bhp. :)

Might need clutch then.

1.9TDi PD 125.7 has a SMF :)

Been looking out for a Vrs Se for ages, can't find one for under £6,500 currently, bar one crash damaged for £4,500. If I find one, I'll drop the elegance and sell up the same day, but until then...

I just looked on eBay for ATD flywheel, New and used and they are all dual mass. I'm not saying it isn't single mass since I haven't checked but it feels like a dual mass haha

Yeah, my Fabia elegance, 1.9 TDI ATD engine.

I've already got the injectors, nice and cheap!

Turbo can be had for about £100 from a pd130 (second hand of course)

And then remap yeah, not sure what bhp to go for, I guess 170bhp is the high end of my expectations, don't know what the intercooler can cope with, even the pipe work doesn't seem up to much, different setup to my Vrs pipe work.

If it is single mass which I'm guessing it is now due to every single person saying it is apart from me... The price I'd save on a dmf seems very appealing now!!

Satndard side mount tintercooler should be good for 170, but maybe worth a pikey arch mod and a vRS front bumper for a bit more air flow.

Yeah, I guess so!

I just can't imagine my little faithful elegance having 170bhp... Doesn't seen possible haha

The downfall be the clutch, I'd rather pay someone to change it for me so about £200 all in.

Turbo as said £100

Remap about £250 maybe by some friends at Revo. The costs do start adding up!

Or do i buy abit of a "dog" Vrs, couple at the minute between £1500 - £2000.

Just need a Vrs SE in my life!

Well, my comfort spec pd100 has over 300 horses.  Coping OK   :D

What's your mileage if you don't mind me asking?

I'm on 133,300 now and fear this may kill her off!

Mine old Fabia was remapped from 140k to 186k, only real issue was the KKK needed a refurb at 148k, and a clutch change at 166k

yeah, my clutch is on 120K + now, still bites as it should, despite my traffic light efforts :D

The fuel duration maps and timing are difference due to flow rates. Not saying it won't work, it will just be far from ideal.

My clutch is getting abit high now hence why I think it will start slipping with a few extra horses.

Will see how things plan out over the next week or so anyway.

Quick question.

Why do people with a Vrs that put a smf on say they chatter on idle but the pd100 doesn't?

Lighter flywheel?

Because the 6 speed gearbox is a bag of nails compared to the 5 speed, it has 3 rotating shafts instead of 2 so has more to rattle. All the fab pd100,s have a smf from new which kinda kills off all the scaremongering over smf,s killing input shaft bearings etc lol
