Hi folks im trying to find an after market back box for my 2011 fabia tsi 1.2 (86) .Im not sure if the car is a bit newish for company's to hold a selection of after market back boxes but when i go on line im struggling to find any On ebay there seems to be loads that they claim are "direct fit". Any suggestions .

The kink over the back axel makes them a pain I would doubt many are a 'direct fit' as the length of the original is big. Try eBay again and try a worldwide search this will allow you to see company's from Germany, you get a few more that way plus there are little to none import duties/taxes

Do you not have Specialist Tuning or Exhaust centres near you where you can look at some back boxes in the flesh

and go from there rather than buying in online or mail order?

Yeh man i have but i imagine they will be expensive . 

I take it Skoda said no to a warranty claim then.

There should be some replacement back boxes about, have you tried going to companies like Bosia direct instead of through a Tuner.

No word yet on the warranty claim but getting a bit of homework done just incase.

No need to imagine, you call in like a customer get the gen, and make you excuses and leave if to expensive.

 

With your new found knowledge you can search out a bargain just like with your wheels.

 

IMO push on the Warranty for the Back Box, i did with one from Kia.

They were telling me about Salt, Power Washing etc.

I took the Dealership manager outside to his used cars and pointed out several cars with the same rusting box.

 

Warranty Work was done by sending me next door to ATS for a new box.

They ordered in a Box from Kia for the next Job.
