Reset the fault codes earlier and then changed "coming home light settings" Everything seemed OK till I went out in the car about an hour later. The dipped beam is not illuminating instead of the DRLs, no matter what setting I have the lights on.

 

So, I got home and plugged the VCDS back in and went through the stages: Select from the main screen, 17 - Instruments, then coding / long coding. Before I got all the range of codes etc but now I just get the screen as per below. The current coding is only 6 digits long!!

 

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated:

 

 

 

Did you do an autoscan before you started fiddling? If so just copy and paste the old coding back into the box.

Cheers, done all that and thanks to Xpower I've realised I was looking in the wrong section, should have been in central control rather than instruments. However, I've managed to turn off the dipped beam as DRL but cannot for the life of me find where to turn the DRLs back on?????
