Daft little things

Featured Replies

My battery died so replaced it and now having little problems like the electric windows not going all the way down or up with one touch. Also my fuel lcd display is way out by 100m compared to the fuel needle. Anyone had this happen when disconnecting battery ?

You need to reset the 1 touch windows. Put them all the way up. Once up, put them up some more on the switch and you'll hear a click. Thats them reset. Dont know about the fuel thing tho.

Nice one, will try that. They ain't too big a problems I just don't like change !

Even if you don't reset the windows they reset themselves eventually anyway.

When you say fuel needle is way out compared to the display do you mean the miles to empty?

I think it's basically reset hasn't it? It has to take time to re-adjust. Same happened to me when my battery died the other month.

The fuel needle is correct but the display is way out. Maybe It's learning how I drive for a bit or something.

Whats the needle and the miles to empty saying? It does also constantly change depending on how you driving (the miles left gauge)

I put £20 in from near enough empty and my display says 75 miles left yet the needle is just under half a tank

I must of had the battery out over half an hour so maybe the ecu has reset ?

It works on your mpg history, so if you haven't done any driving since the battery has been put back on or the trips you have done have been uneconomical it'll confuse it. Go for a nice cruise down a long open road for 15min and it'll soon sort itself out

Sound.  Like I say not a big problem as I will just go by the needle. Hopefully will sort its self out. Cheers guys
