4x4 exhaust options

Center box to cat pipe come adrift around the weld. Temp pulled it back together and will see if I can get it re-welded tomorrow.

Otherwise options I am considering bearing in mind I would like to keep everything looking standard:-

As this is a one piece section  from the cat back including center and rear box it looks like I can either replace both boxes with standard:-

Get custom stainless from cat back keeping rest standard. Should I go 2 1/2" for when/if the front section is done?:-

Get the whole lot replaced from turbo back. I would like to keep the double cat look even if I decat so would  need something like the supersprint

Would it therefore be sensible to get a bigger than standard downpipe? I have looked in other threads and the generic ebay 3" A3/180TT downpipe/decat has been used successfully but presumably I would need a different downpipe to accommodate the twin entries to the cats must admit I haven't looked at the standard downpipe so may be missing something obvious.

Any thoughts? Generally like to improve the car when parts wear out or break and am slowly heading towards stage1/2 having done brakes and all the bushes and ARB and have Haldex Performance controller to go on but not really in a rush.

If I go the Stainless rout my nearest fabricators look to be in Swansea ( I am SA62)  Powerflow and Longlife came up on searches. Any recommendations?

From what I understand the downpipe and the twin cats are the most restrictive part of the 4x4's exhaust

I'd want to know that supersprint unit had had wider flanges put on it - I suspect not eg possibly still poor flow rate

Very expensive too

Yes probably silly to keep the twin cat look as liable to be too expensive.

Got a quote for stainless cat back 2 1/2" about £80 more than what it would be to replace with standard. Although thats for standard back box so a down-turned behind the bumper 'stealth' one may be more.

Haven't got turbo back price yet as apparently 2 types of downpipe and they need to know which one. Assuming they mean one of the following

So if I went for the whole thing turbo back what should I ask for? 2 1/2 all the way through or  3" downpipe/decat into 2 1/2" like people are doing with the ebay downpipe from A3/180TT?

Would the car run OK without an immediate remap or would the engine management be missing some information.

What do you do come MOT time, replace the old downpipe and cat or have something fabricated into the decat so the cat can be put in for MOT?

Thanks I did read that and in retrospect the question from  Powerflow/ Longlife (seem to be the same company in that I got exactly the same quote form back from both) didn't show they were up to speed on  my vehicle . So I am asking for quote for 3" downpipe / decat same as the A3/180TT into 2 1/2" with resonator back box with hidden exit under the bumper.

Looking to find info on what happens with the Lambda sensors with a decat.

Thanks
