Hi everyone and very warm welcome from Jersey

 

Last Monday i have become proud owner of Skoda Octavia VRS mk1 in lovely Rally Red.

I fell in love with it few years back. so wheni found this one, well looked after, in great condition and low miles (47k) half of which is motorway i could not resist. Having owned quite a few VAG group cars including A3, Vw Passat, Audi coupe quattro etc and then Subaru Impreza i am very happy with this one.

Looking forward to be regularly on here So far i have just gave her good clean, wax and polish, cleaned engine bay and started polishing manifold, i also have ordered R-spec Stealth dump valve. Will defo remap her but first things first

Very nice, bet you cant wait to get to the mainland to try it out. IIRC from my last visit the speed limit on Jersey is 40MPH out of town.

I was there last summer and while you'd think that's a bit slow, when you get there, you realise that even getting up to 40 is rarely sensible - lots of stone walls lining the roads with piers hidden nicely by grasses swaying in the breeze.  Beautiful island though.

that is true actually, there are few spots where you can floor it but really local roads are not made for speeds higher then 40mph
