FL has a painted rear bumper.

What options do I have for protecting the paint from scratches ?

Do Skoda do a protector or is there something that people have used ?

Until someone like superskoda etc produce them most of the clear stick on ones are just pre cut 'helicopter tape'

Are you looking for ones that will get light use or something heavier... like a dog jumping in the car?

Where do you get helicopter tape from ? Car accessory shop or more obscure ?

I bought some strips of it from eBay to make dive computer screen protectors but I am still on the first one I made.... It's that good, even in salt water.

You can buy it in rolls in almost any size.

I have the genuine skoda protector. It's species to the FL model and can be ordered from superskoda.

When Skoda told one was not available I found the following:-

They sent me a sample card of the materials and are working on the 2014 model fit at present. Would be good if you did not the aluminium extrusion which I think looks nice.

Need a rear bumper protector for our FL Elegance to protect from the dog. Not sure that the genuine part covers enough of the bumper for me. Sent for a sample of the material they use for this

Looks a good fit from the photo's.

Can't answer about the current product from rearguard but had previous type on my Roomster and it was very good.

This week I bought some 3M clear vinyl of ebay, made a template, stuck it on the top of the bumper over the lip by about 10mm.

I don't think it would stop a dogs claws cutting through it but for me not having a dog it should be fine.

Should be okay for general luggage!

I can't show any pics of it fitted because it's so clear and looks invisible on Candy White.

 

If anyone wants to do the same then I used a strip of Vinyl size 15cm wide 105cm long, It has to be 15cm because of the curve of the bumper!

I bought a roll 15cm x 300cm long so thinking about using some for the doorsills.   

 

Also got a genuine 'TSI' badge for the back and decals to go on the side doors.
