Offers from 1 April

Featured Replies

I very nearly ordered a 5dr Elegance Greentech 75bhp on Christmas Eve but was unable to get to the dealership because of the storms. By the time it reopened in January there had been a price rise, and servicing was no longer included free on the interest free credit offer.

Does anyone here have any inside info on what deals might be available from 1 April? Maybe a dealer has given you a few hints. Or perhaps you *are* a dealer - if so, PM me if you'd like to discuss a deal...

This is a bad time to buy, its a sellers market in spring. they can afford to turn people away as sales are high in general and generally they have very short range view of getting you as a customer.

Its frustrating. the dealer owners want to keep you as a long term badge buyer, but sales staff just worry about the next end of month bonus. The two don't work together.

The only other deals are from the badge owner (Skoda UK) and dealers are tied to offering only whats available. New reg time is usually where HQ offers are available.

I've read some people reckon the end of March is a good time to strike a deal as they apparently have higher targets to meet in new reg months - but depends if the dealer is a bit shy of their quota.  You might not get the same apparent deal (0%, free servicing) but you might get a discount equivalent to it.

yep end of month can be a good time, my mk1 Octavia I was offered a fantastic deal, but had to be completed in less than a week by the 31st march  back 2000 for them to make their target for march that year, so in general I would have thought 2nd half of month may be better if buying a un registered stock car

Thanks, I'll try the dealers in the next few days in case there are good deals for the end of the quarter.
