CDL remote handset

I'm not trying to flatter you here but it must be a complete nightmare of a learning curve for you guys when Skoda bring out a new model!

My owner's handbook is in the car I haven't got yet. Just like to learn a bit more about it until I can ditch this Megane and pick up the new motor in October.

It is a nightmare as usually the wiring diagrams etc turn up well after launch.

I have a spare user manual in my box at work, PM me your address and i'll forward it on.

Press lock button twice.

Does that not just turn off the deadlocks? There's a button on the b pillar that turns off the interior alarm sensors.

I'd imagine it does both. If the deadlocks are off, a car thief will be able to force a door which will activate the alarm anyway. You'd be open to smash and grabs though I suppose but someone trying to steal the car will always try the door from the inside if they have broken the window and again that will activate the alarm.

IIRC it does both.

That's exactly right (for all VAG cars with the feature) :)
