I am in Belgium for 6 months and trying to communicate with mechanics very hard. My UK Skoda dealer says its either wishbone bushes or anti roll bar bushes.

 

Trouble is I have to pre order the parts.

 

I realise its a guessing game

 

But it is a creak like an old door especially over speed humps or change in incline. I have seen the VW bulletin about the wishbone bushes going. Mine is an early 2010.

 

I realise sods law whatever I go for will be wrong grr

 

If you could help I would appreciate it.

Wishbones 100%. But they haven't failed. Lots do it, just oil/wd40 them.

I sprayed wd40 lasted only a few days. Even me wishbones it would creak? Only noticed it in past few months and when cold and hot weather. Might take the plunge then if it comes back use some bike lube or similar.

Oil will degrade rubber in fairly short order.

There are other lubes which are suitable - various silicone/ptfe preparations.

WD40 is really over rated, use GT85 which has a silicon compound to deflect dirt
