Running temp is fine, so dont think its thermostat, any ideas where temp sensor is located?

Thanks for response... any ideas where the sensor is located?

Think it's as you look at the engine it's on the right side of the head on the coolant housing has a black U shaped clip and black multi plug. Sometimes the temp sensor is a light green and sometimes a grey colour. You will loose coolant when removing and recommend replacing the seal and clip as the clips can break.

 Replace with a genuine VAG part only. Buy cheap buy twice.

Yep genuine only. ECU won't be fuelling correctly.
