Felicia 1998 kitcar looker

Featured Replies

Hello from Finland! and, sorry for my bad English!

i use this car for everyday driving to work, and everywhere, what a eye catcher..

This is my first skoda it´s a Felicia 1.3 Mpi. facelift, my. -98"   I bought the car, because it was cheap (ofcourse) 260€uros.. It was crashed on its side. It had driven 136000km. and i am second owner of the car :)  So i changed the door, and little repair to door sill.

Well, idea was to paint it white, and put some red rally -look mudflaps on it. (well, i like rally, and Juha kankkunen is from my hometown Laukaa.. )

That´s how it looked before..

But i found Kitcar bodykit from Cz, shop called speedpro.eu, nice service, and in english.  So, lets get work, and build a Felicia kitcar looker! What a great idea in the middle of winter ..

Well, i have a heater in my garage, at least.. :giggle:

what a great opportunity to learn to paint car! in your own garage. for the next time, more lights! it´s difficult to paint white on a white primer..

So this was the aftermath. And my winterlook   :giggle:   Vw 14" wheels.. oh! it's a bit dirty!

And made some modifications, this is the latest look of my Felicia.. waiting for summer, so i could change my summer wheels. kind of wrc-tarmac style wheels.

Something in future:

-Interior, seats etc.

-something for engine

-some vinyls/decals

-Maybe old style front end? like the original kitcar

Hello welcome to briskoda, nice looking project that, I think it would look much better with the old style front end, I've always preferred them.

I like plain old steel wheels on cars like this, would look really good if you painted the bumpers green like the rally car.

what sort of tyres do you use on snow?

Thanks!  Maybe before summer, i'll find old style front My local scrapyard-man said that he´ll have one Felicia coming to scrap :)

Oh yes, it´s too bit white now! Is there colour code for the  "skoda rally green"  for the bumpers? i have tried to google it, but noo..

My winter tyres, i think they were 175-65-14. Nokian Nordman 2, studded, very good tires on icy roads, and silent too.

My summertime wheels, 15 inch, et38,  just making some paintjob. Tires, maybe 195/50. i think they will fit

I  installed outside temperature meter some weeks ago. it´s 12volt, because i dont like the battery model temperature meters :drunk:   and painted the dashboard upper surfaces with black vinyl paint.

Oh, and i found full vinyl kit for skoda: http://www.creative-vinyl.com/723-skoda-felicia-castrol-1996-wrc-full-graphics-kit.html       could be nice. but no more winter driving with stickers..

I run 195/50/15 tyres on my 20v and it is fine, although I would recommend you use 195/45/15 to get it closer to the stock wheel circumference, you will notice a big difference in acceleration with the 50 profile tyres, I don't really have that problem with enourmous torque on tap.

the rally green paint code is not actually the colour that is called "skoda rally green" oddly, if you do a search on here I'm sure it's been discussed before, I can't remember the paint code off the top of my head.

Hi, that's looking good. Another vote for the earlier front end here, they do look better. Looking forward to following this.

Ok! i think i´ll try 195-45 tyres, sounds good.  maybe i´ll try the search, think i will find something, thanks. :)

Thank you very much!  i think i´ll put the old rally-style front end. Someehere in CZ was a shop that was selling glassfibre bonnets and front grilles. can´t remember it just now.

Sold I'm kit car-ing my road rally car!! whilst on the subject of green. I'v cracked the front bumber on my 1998 white feli and some for the paint has come away and theres a very nice helping of green paint under the white I know the history of this car as it was my granddads car so I know its never had it replaced so any idea why the factory bumper came white over rally green bumpers?

Very nice !

Summer time came, and i´ve changed the wheels. front tires are size of 185-45-15..(rear is 195-45-15) Tire shop didn´t have 195-45-15 size tires. Well, maybe later this summer.  And i did some modifications too Skoda stickers, bigger mudflaps. changed the oil, filters etc. basic service. And i also have the old-style front end parts.
