Citigo Sport vs Fabia Tsi

Featured Replies

Just been given courtesy car whilst I wait for delivery of my Sport, it's a Fabia Elegance Tsi. Feels great and makes me look forward to my new car! I'm worried that because of the fantastic engine in the fabia I'll think the citigo is slow? The turbo really helps. Anyone gone from one to the other and can reassure me that the citigo is a different beast altogether?! I use the term beast lightly!

Keep the engine and drop it in the Citigo...

That would be the best of both worlds :)

Citigo is nippy enough, so don't worry too much

The Citigo is more modern, has better handling and will be cheaper to run than the Fabia -it will also be faster off the blocks in town on account of it being a lot lighter. Obviously the TSi has more torque and will have more go out on the open road - I'm sure that your dealer could sort things out for you if you wanted to change to the Fabia (so long as you buy it from them)- of course there is a possibility that it would hold things up.

Take a test drive in a Citigo if you need to.

Just wait until you come to a road with corners in!

Whereas the fabia will understeer , wallow and give you no steering feel, the citigo will turn in instantly and zip round the corners.

I came from a 3 series - a car renowned from its excellent handling - with about 100 odd bhp more and 200 lbft more than the citigo. Apart from the odd bit of a road overtaking it's never really slow enough , show it a twisty road and it excels and always leaves a smile on my face.

There's no chance I'll swap for a fabia but it got me thinking about the citigo. Glad to hear it'll be good fun!

It is fun for sure. Keep it in the rev band and it flies for a small engined car :)
