Loose plug behind front grill?

Featured Replies

Just noticed a loose plug attached to a cable in the space in front of the Octavia radiator, nearside, and behind the front grill.

(Have attached image).

It looks like an electrical connector that should plug in somewhere but I just cannot see where.

Any ideas please?

The car seems to be working normally..... a puzzle.

Thanks

It looks like the temperature sensor. There should be a small metal plate nearby with a hole in it. The sensor has plastic lugs which snap into place when you push it into the hole. The one on my Octy 2 used to fall out, but the plastic clips can break & it doesn't stay in place. I fastened it with a plastic tie strap.

Thanks kalpat, I found the small locating plate and the sensor did click back into place.

The side clips don't really look up to the job, so I'll keep a regular eye on it and find some cable ties to secure it better.

Cheers.
