Golf parts

Featured Replies

Is the Mk4 golf essentially the same? Just wondering as there are some parts knocking about on ebay and wondered if they would fit straight on.

Which parts, a lot is shared between a golf 4 and octy

Plenty of mk4 golf, mk1 leon and mk1 TT bits fit, as well as some A3 stuff. Depends on the part though! What you looking at?

Forge tip and an eibach rear arb on ebay

both are interchangeble

Yeah, I've got a eibach rear arb on my Octy vrs that came off a golf. Should be fine as long as it's from a normal mk 4 golf and not an r32/4 motion as I believe the rear is different on those.

Doesnt have any of the fitting bits with it. :(

Yes, I have noticed the mk4 Golf V5 I currently have bears many similarities to the octy.  Washer bottle appears to be in same place. etc - and is likely the same part.

What doesn't?

Wonder if the airbox is interchangable? Looks similiar and as far as i can see no SAI so might be useful for some doing a sai delete, saves blocking up the hole

All you need is a couple of motorcycle exhaust clamps (or jubilee clips) to attach the bar to the rear beam, the outer ends just bolt straight on to the bottom of the rear struts using the existing bolts. Looks exactly the same as mine. :-)

I think the neuspeed and whiteline ones use small drop links but the eibach one doesn't require them. :-)

If the Forge TIP isn't an oversized one, its not worth fitting.

The Eibach rear arb is a really nicely fitting item, and if it doesn't come with the correct clamps I wouldn't touch it with a bargepole.

Just look for some mikalor clamps. I'll measure mine tomorrow morning if you want to know the required size. Looks like you may need a couple of brackets to go over the bushes too as I can't see them in the picture. It's just a bracket that stops the clamp crushing the bush.

All it needs is some clamps, i have that arb on mine very good bit of kit, deffo worth watching.

Will watch it, only worth it if its a decent price due to not having all the bits imo. Cheers. :)

Bits should only be a few quid. Iirc the rear only comes with the front at about £300 for the pair so defo keep an I eye on it mate. It's a brilliant upgrade :-)

The Eibach fitting kit for the rear ARB is about 60 odd quid, you need to get it from eibach really, but if you can get the bar for a decent price, then getting the fitting kit won't be so bad.

i looked at the eibach and ended up going for the Neuspeed 28mm rear, it does use drop links but still tucks up quiet a bit, along with that an r32 front arb, handling is totally transformed.

i can definatly recommend the arb's.

Dam £60 from eibach?

From a bit of googling it seems you can buy the kit but they will only sell it for front and back together, so its 60 odd quid. So just depends how much the arb goes for. :)

Went for 80 quid in the end, not sure it was worth it when having to buy the fixing kit too.
