if it has the same performance as your Focus it is a faulty Twincharger, or your Focus was tuned.

I really hate quoting figures but here goes

 

I was merely referring to book figures, for what the focus is it isnt a very fast car 2.5, 5 cylinder turbo! book figure is 6.8seconds 0-60 (i prefer quoting in gear speeds, eg 30-70) my focus wasnt tunes at all.

the fabia is supposedly 7.3, which is a small 5 tenths of a second. therefore IMO the fabia has pretty much the same performance (Book Figures) as the focus.

 

are you saying that the fabia will be quicker or that my focus was? im very confused.

I was lucky enough to own a Focus ST prior to my CAVE Fabia vRS. I can confirm the ST is a lot quicker in a straight line (monsters it mid-range) and is superior on the handling/ride front. The ST also has one of the all time awesome induction noises imho. The Fabia counters by being cheaper to run but that is all. Some may prefer the understated image of the skoda tho I would say.

If you are expecting the little to Fabia to be equivalent on performance I think you maybe a tad disappointed. The ST had far better traction off the line due to the wider front tyres/better chassis and that heavy 2.5 5-cyl lump sitting over the front wheels. Both great cars in their own right but chalk and cheese really.

Stealth as far as keeping it standard looking yes, but its only a 40cm long box that im removing, in the grand scheme of things its pretty small.. plus pops and bangs make me smile..

The pops and bangs on the ST are awesome. Doubt you will get any on the Fabia tho! I swapped my Fabia exhaust for a Milltek and whilst that improved the sound it still wasn't a patch on the ST OEM exhaust.

(he had a Tuning box, but at £400 or so, that not much to worry about.)

 

Sorry guys, just got round to looking into my diversion tomorrow. Cant justify spending £69 to put it on the rollers. Not when thats 50% of my rarb.... if it was mine then yes as I want to know if any powers escaped. But not paying that just to answer a question.

Matthewl - I drive mine pretty hard and it averages about 34mpg on momentum 99. Use this like George recommends and you'll get the most out of the car.

Reference remapping, it would seem insane to try and force any more power out of this engine... IMO and not worth the risk. Maybe I am cautious though.

Thats what I thought...69 is steeep. Thats what it says on the web anyway. 69 2wd. 79 4wd.
