I am thinking about fitting some genuine OEM xenons to my 2004 Octavia and any comments/pointers etc would be helpful.

Do I need to change the wiring to the headlights and fit extra relays?

Whats the score with the self levelling system?

I have headlight washers so no probs there.

And I have seen a single fitting going for over

This been discussed for Fabia and was considered niether viable or easily achievable.

The leveller is in the rear passanger door I think.

It's the self levelling thats bugging me the most, isn't it usually slung on the rear axle/suspension so it can sense how low the **** of the car is?

Looks that way doesn't it, the diagram alone has all but killed it.

I'll just hang on and make sure my next car has them from the start.

I did it on my golf and didn't bother with auto-levelling, just mofidied the units to work from the manual level control dial in the dash. TBH it's something i'll probably do to the octavia at some point just I haven't put the effort in to find some 2nd hand xenons yet.

Thats one way of eliminating the hassle of self levelling, as long as you are sensible with the beam levels it wouldn't be too much of a problem would it.

My car goes back in April so it can't be too permanent either :thumbdwn:

I'd have to look at the wiring but if the connectors are the same as the golf you can use adaptor looms so it's totally reversable, I actually sold the xenons seperately when I got rid of the golf.
