Hi all,

I need to replace the front bumper on our 2000 Fabia due to accident damage. I think I've found a replacement but it's from a 2003 car. Looking closely - the bumper grilles are slightly different (horizontal instead of vertical on our car). Does anyone know if they are interchangeable and if I'll be able to swap in the grilles and foglights from our earlier model?

If u get the grills with the bumper it will fit the car.

but the grills from yours wont fit the facelift bumper..

its worth doing even if you have to get the grills on top because they are all between £5-£10 from skoda each + the facelift looks loads better

I know the clips that hold the bumpers on at either sides are diff on the vrs to normal but dont think they are different for pre facelift + facelift bumpers

The clips are different bro. The facelift bumper uses the same clips as the VRS.

If you swap from preFL to facelift then you will need clips. Cost less than £5.00 for a pair from any vag dealer

Thanks for the info, but what I should've said is that it's not a facelift bumper - if you see what I mean?

Ours is like this but with Foglights where the end trim pieces are fitted:

 

The replacement bumper is like this... (horizontal grilles). They visually look the right dimensions so I'm hoping they will just swap out (personally I prefer the earlier style anyway)

Which I do prefer, but would rather not have to faff around with fog lights etc. I'm probably over thinking it and didn't even realise there was a difference til I looked closer!

Unfortunatly the 1 picture that hasnt loaded up is the one of your bumper :(.. by the sounds of it the bumpers the same but the grill slats go horizontal instead of vertical?

In this is the case then everything shud fit no ptobs

out of intrest was there any difference with the vrs bumper pre/post if so, any pics (i know the grill was different)

As you say, its the horizontal/vertical slat differences. Pleased to know itl'll fit!
