New yeti tomorrow

Featured Replies

Well due to health issues I have to change my car for an automatic, after much searching it came down to the bmw x1 or the yeti, but the test drive clinched it the bmw was so heavy to drive, but the yeti was much lighter. I am gutted to be getting rid of my beloved fabia Monte Carlo which I love :( still our new yeti an elegance FL ex demon so only 1000 miles on the clock should be good, it's in white which wouldn't have been my first choice. I am a bit concerned about the seats as I am used to the monte's sports seats which are v comfy the yetis don't seem so supportive, I hope they are ok.

Lol ex demo not demon don't you love predictive text ;)

I'm sure you will enjoy the DSG gears with your new Yeti. Very smooth and effortless.

I think many here, if not a majority, find the Yeti seats at least acceptable.  Some, like me, rate them highly.  Enjoy the SM!

Have to say I found the seats in my SE to be very comfortable on my last long trip - at least as comfortable as the ones in the L&K Octavia I had before. Not quite as adjustable (electrically adjustable in the L&K but manually adjustable in the yeti) but once you find the position they are supportive enough.

I do think the better driving position in the yeti is a huge help with regards to comfort.

Hi Billy, Now that you have had your Yeti for a few days, what have you got to report? When we were contemplating the purchase of a new car we went for a drive for about 15 minutes and were given the opportunity to take it out and about again, which we did for a little over half an hour. During that time we travelled along a freeway, secondary roads and a few hundred metres of a dirt road, which was in good repair.  I find that a test drive of 10 or 15 minutes is not long enough for such an important decision and purchase. I have found the seats to be quite comfortable, but after 4 or 5 hours in the saddle, during a long trip, I have to admit to considering fitting good quality sheepskin seat covers for that extra bit of comfort. :)

Happy trails,

We did a 300 mile round trip yesterday and it's great, comfy spacious, three kids in the back for part of the trip and my 6'2" son for most of it who slept for most of it too. My other half hates leather seats so now the search is on for a decent seat cover :/

We wouldn't have bought one with leather, but the car was an ex demo and a great deal so couldn't not buy it really.

It ran v smoothly, other half thinks it's not so happy over. 65 but that's a fuel economy issue I think. It's 2lt dsg so engine sound definitely goes up a pitch over 65

EXCELLENT choice billy.

My father and my older brother both have BMWs'

My father has the series 1 and my older brother has a series 3 sport.

VERY awkward to get in and out of and not to my taste.......................give my a Yeti any day of the week and I'll be happy.
