Octavia Bolero phone connection

Featured Replies

Hi

My Dad has an Octavia with the Bolero radio, and uses his Galaxy S3 and pairs this with his car. (loving his new technology and all)

However, he's not been getting some texts through on his phone, instead they have ONLY been received by his car (while he's in the car obviously) so the only record of these messages he has are in his car.
I was hoping someone may be able to enlighten me, and therefore him please.

Has anyone experienced this issue before?
Is this a flaw with the system or is this something that I could possibly change in the phones settings?

Thank you in advance

When the car is connected in the mode that allows texts (rSap), it takes over the SIM card.  This means the messages are on the SIM card when you leave the car.  To retrieve them go into messages, then settings, then manage SIM messages.  They can be copied from there onto the phone.

Alternatively you can use the SMS menu on the maxidot to copy the message to the phone.  Howeve, I find this a bit hit and miss on my S3.

Hope that helps

Adam

Brilliant. Sounds about right with what he says.
