Monte Carlo Tech - Cruise Control Retrofit

Featured Replies

I took my 3 month old car into the local Seat/Skoda dealer on Monday for retrofit Cruise Control to be fitted. I was quoted £300 all in, which I thought was about right.

I received a call on Tuesday saying that the Cruise Control couldn't be fitted and the reason given was because it had the 'Entertainment Amundsen System'. Now I know this doesn't sound right because you can spec up the car on the car configuration to include the amunsden/maxi dot + cruise control?

Surely retrofit cruise can be fitted to this model car?

Skoda UK told me it could be fitted to any Fabia.

My dealer said it could not be fitted to my Monte Carlo Tech.

Awesome GTI say it can!

I am also confused!

Well I fitted cruise control James' car today.

Works a treat.

Massive thanks to Ross who fitted the retrofit cruise control this morning. After being told previously by two dealers that it wasnt possible as the car was the 'tech edition', Ross has proved that it can be done.

The kit was fitted in the recommended skoda guide time, then it was off Skoda to get the car coded.

Good meeting you today Ross and thanks again

How much for the job in total then?

£350

Ross, I'm assuming that it was exactly the same as fitting it to my Roomster, minus the BCM confusion  :giggle:

Yes. A lot less confusing as the BCM in the kit was identical to the one already fitted.
