Ive bought some of these rims also but in flat bronze. Im guessing by the looks of your pics you have the ET35. What tyres do you have fitted? I've just ordered some 235/40 but im abit worried they may not fit.

I think 235's are gonna cause you issues, I'd have gone 225/40's

235s or more i think the fronts will eat arch

They are 8.75 so need a good 7-8mm kick out to miss coilovers

So then its arch roll time

Chris used 215/40 to get a stretch

I run 9.5 rears and keep thinking to try a 245/35 as its actually a lower wall than the 225/40 or 235

Its the same profile depth as the 215/40

But ud need to camber the rears

If going 235 u def need to review rim width and ride height

Hmmmm :(

235 will deffo not fit I didn't think 215s would go near coilovers at first but good old llyod assured me top man

And yes et35s all round

:D good ol lloyd lol

Always a odd sentence.......

Or the 1 for telling whos mad ha ha

Scary when folk listen to me eeeeeek

Hmmmm That's not good news. I chose the wider tyres to try get as much rubber on the road as possible to reduce wheel spin. I've got 225 ditch finder tyres on at the moment and all they do is spin with nearly 300bhp on tap.

Will they miss the coilovers?

I can roll the arches thats not a problem unless they stick out ridiculously.

My 8.5 needed 5mm spacing on the front to clear the coilover adjuster

8.75 ud be looking 7/8mm

So the rim is out there

If u rolled the arch ..... Dunno

In my mind if u went 225/35 the stretch would pull in sooner as less wall to eat it

Plus theres a good choice of tyre that size

215/40 selection is poo

The rear u could pop -1 camber to allow again 225/35 to try bud

But with 300 ponies stretch will loose grip quicker

I think you'll find a good arch roll will give you 5-10mm extra

And dropping to 35s will help it pull in sooner

Thanks for the advice Lloyd. Wish id spoken to you sooner. I'll get on the phone in the morning to see if i can change but I have a feeling it'll be too late. They'll probably be at my door tomorrow.

Always the way bud , i asume its the 8.75s et35s u got

Always happy to "try" and help lol

Stop wheelspin but controlling right foot ;-)

Its going to be a struggle sending the tyres back as there coming from Germany. I may just get one tyre fitted and see how far its out and how much of a struggle it'll be to get it fitted. If its more hassle than it's worth I'll sell them and order some smaller ones.

235s will bump on a 8.75

How low is your car ?

Ps- have u got spacers to get the rim away from the front coilover ?

What size spacers would you recommend Lloyd? my car is pretty low. Its going to be interesting to try get them to fit. Want to see the task I have in front of me when the tyres arrive. If they are ridiculous then I'll go for a smaller tyre.

I had to use 5mm on et35 8.5

With the 8.75 u will be looking 7/8mm mate

Then its tyre play

To get low id say ud be looking at arch roll on the front and camber on the rear

That or stretch,

Could go with 205/40 but poor tyre range

215/40 also a small range

If u can wind it down enough u could try 35 profile bud

235

8.75

7/8 mm space so

Et28

And low

Mate it will eat at ur car :(

Thanks for the advice Lloyd. I think a smaller tyre option, spacers and arch roll would be the best bet. To change camber on the front I imagine audi tt wishbones are the way to go. How do you go about the camber on the rear?

Arch roll n stretch should see u on the front

215/35 poss

Rear camber is done by shims

I used -1 camber shims and then toe correct shims

E951F59B-EB24-4AA2-B83E-F3C79C1AD324_zps

Its ur ride height u want thst will decide 40 or 35 profile

What coilovers is it bud

And do u have a side view pic

Its got eibach coilovers on the front, but the previous owner has not supplied the height adjustment on the rear so its sitting on eibach 30mm lowering springs on the rear until I can get them replaced.

I've not got any pics yet m8. But I'll try get some over the weekend and start a new thread, I feel we may have hijacked chink21's thread abit.

Meh chris wont mind :D

Its looking like his facebook chat to mr :D

I'll keep eye out for ur thread bud

Im not hard to find lol

Thanks again mate.

No probs

Happy to help

Or try :D

Chris will no doubt update here when he has wound his down to confirm my guess of 8mm spacers on the front

Although id be tempted to try space rear so it matches the front ;)

But that would defo i rek require some camber action lol
