What Do You Think???

Featured Replies

OK peeps - keep it or ditch it? Dunno if any of you have seen these OE trims. They don't, as I hope you can see, actually form part of the exhaust once fitted - just clamps around it. So Peeps - what do you think - keep it or ditch it?

Looks nice! The chrome bit on the VRS exhaust is just a clamp-over job, so I wouldn't worry about it being "only" a clamp on.

Ahhh yes Witchfinder - the difference is (I would think??) is that the actual exhaust pipe sticks through the bottom of the trim!

Ditch! From past experience I have found that they trap water and accelerate corrosion of the area they cover.

Looks fine, keep it. Had a chrome oval trim on my micra for over 3 years no corrosion probs.

Hmm...not really sure what it's there for? :D

Rob.

Seems a bit weird as i can make out the actual (twin) exhaust pipes behind the dummy one. Or am I seeing things?

If this is the case I would personally remove it.

Ah yes. I can see the "real" tailpipes now. But if you like it. keep it. I rather like the look of it. A lot better than some of the manky exhausts you see.

Looks fine to me but.....personally I'd go down to Powerflow and get them to make a custom back box......not sure of the price but I'd expect it to cost a little more than the trim.

Like Rob says...if you like it then it doesn't matter what everyone else thinks.
