MEDIX999 :: MK2 vRS Estate

Featured Replies

Well thought I'd finally put up a Thread! Its been a considerable time coming but here goes nothing.

Ex fleet car bought to replace my old faithful Volvo V70R which is now undergoing a complete overhaul and track preparation.

Poverty spec Octavia vRS, when I say poverty I mean poverty! I'm not sure it had any extras fitted, minus auto dimming mirror, auto lights, auto wipers, Columbus and much more. However I, slowly putting it on the right track.

First things first was to replace the Bolero with a Columbus, I'm pleased to say this has now been done and I was surprised how easy it was. Fortunately having not spotted the obvious size difference but reading up on here first I bought a fascia so saved the frustration of removing the Bolero to find the Columbus didn't fit!

A day or two later I was passing Shark so popped in to discuss a remap, unfortunately they didn't have any dates over the next few weeks I could manage so Ill have to pop back and sort another soon!

I did however see this lovely MK3 so had to take a snap!

After a week of Neglect the car was absolutely Disgusting. Yesterday I popped over to a friends for a minor washing session (Also a fellow Skoda nut) and gave her a quick was with some Auto Glym and a wax.

Cheers Mike.

Yeah suspension is completely standard... probably a little worn out! I must admit it does look a little lower than standard but its definitely not been done as it came direct from a fleet leasing company and they wouldn't have... could be the load in the boot but I guess that would raise the nose?

Sits simular to mine standard. People do say the estate sits lower. Think i might have asked the same question on another thread not knowing it was same car. Lol.

Well not a great deal to report, its been a while since I did anything to the car.

She was looking a little sorry for herself so with an afternoon off work, a bucket, sponge, some cloths and some Auto Glymm SRP I got to work.

Very happy with the results, still needs a good detail to remove some swirls but keeping on top of the paintwork does seem to make washing and polishing a joy.
