Thanks for your reply. Does any know if there is 12v somewhere in the boot area that I could pick up a 12v from the igntion?

Why don't I have a 12V socket in the boot? Grrr.

Only ignition live i can think of in boot would be the rear wiper, although that is fed up in roof so would have to trace back down to where joins loom along chassis. I used a fuse tap in fuse box to change my 12v sockets in boot and by driver seat to ignition live.

Don't know...

But I have one on the left side of my boot...!!!

Fuel pump but I wouldn't recommend taping into it.  There's 1 single 20A fuse under the glovebox feeding both 12V sockets (a right pig to remove).  I suppose you could find a 'spare' fuse in there and rewire it (heated rear seats fuse - that'll be wired for a good 20A.

Do you have towbar prep wiring?  Maybe something live in there you could use.  Bear in mind you'll need to allow for something like 15 - 20 amps though.

If you have a long enough wire, it shouldnt be too hard to run a wire back to the boot. Just push it under the trim between trim and carpet to keep it tidy, then you can take your pick of supplies from the fuse box

Thanks Baz.  I just decided to move my pouch of oil to a more suitable place and found my 12v socket hiding behind it in the boot. Now I know what the other half means when she says that I don't look for things very hard.
