Removing centre console

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

As I've stated in my introduction post I got to this forum because I've been looking (without luck) for a step-by-step, a diagram or just plain help from anyone on how to disassemble my Octy Mk.I centre console.
The thing is that my heater selector knob turns but hot air keeps coming out. I'm guessing there is some sort of cable that connects the knob to some sort of "butterfly" lever and that the cable may have broke.

So two questions:

Is the amount of hot air regulated by some sort of butterfly connected by a cable to the knob?

Can anyone guide me to what screws I should unfasten so I can release the console.

Up to this moment I was able to remove the back console (back ashtray and parking brake cover), the gear lever cover and the radio/console trimmings. But the rest just seems riveted in place! Damn that thing is bolted only god knows where!

Thank you very much for any info you may give me!
