How to tell if software updates have been done ?

Featured Replies

Hi

I am looking to buy a 1.6 DSG S/H. Is there an easy way to tell if the software update has been done to fix the Stop/Start issues in eco mode as if it hasnt I would want the dealer to do it as part of the deal ?

Thanks

Pat

I'm not sure there is currently a correction for this issue (there is another post with lots of people suffering from the same issue).

Just tell them when you buy the car that you are aware of the problem & want it to be corrected as soon as there is an update.

Get them to put it in writing as part of the sale contract.

Anyway, software updates are included for free as part of a Skoda service (even if your car is out of warranty).

Does it affect the 1.6?

As far as I was aware it only affected the vRS. My CR150 doesn't do it.

Ahh only a VRS issue. Good (well not for VRS owners obvioulsy) it means I can stop worrying.
