Removing oil filter on 2007 PD engine

Featured Replies

Can anyone point me in the direction of what tool I need to remove the oil filter on a standard 2007 PD Octavia (BKD engine)?

I'm getting conflicting information from the internet but, at the moment, believe it to be a 32 mm socket that I need.

Can anyone confirm if this is correct or post slink to the correct tool if its not.

Thanks.

32mm socket sounds right. I think it says the size and torque on the cap.

Yep. 32mm but you may need a universal joint too.

Thanks trundle nut and rover 220.

I don't see any specific sizes marked on the cap of mine (but then I wash;t actually looking for a size at the time).

Would one of these be overkill? Or is that the best way to do it?

I just bought a normal 32mm socket from halfords, and then discovered my socket set had one already...
