Fabia Aerial Adjustment

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I am wondering, is the Fabia aerial adjustable for pitch. My gagrage roof will just clip this when reversing out and snap the aerial off, so does it have the facility to lie back a bit so is not sticking up.

failing that is there a replacement for a stubby that will screw on without having to remove the headlining and base.

Cheers

When my aerial was swapped for an FM/DAB aerial (which is longer and more upright), the headlining didn't come out. Access is by removing the trim panel running across the back of the roof, visible when the tailgate is open. This allows you to reach far enough forwards between headlining and roof to get to the locking nut under the aerial.

You can unscrew your aerial and lay it back alittle with no problems mate. Also, i think the aerial is bendier than you give it credit for, how much of it touches the garage?

Load of it touch the garage door. It is really low, due to having to bodge an arm onto it due to the type of door. If i adjust it so it opens too much then you cant get it down as the bracket locks.

I am really looking for a stubby one. Any ideas?

You can cut the original down with a hefty set of pliers m8.

I did it to mine for similar reasons and reception does not seem to be effected, I think Josh was the first to do this (May be wrong). Just slide the placcy tip back over and neato :-)
